Find lush, green valleys, high mountains, and pleasant weather
at
Hacienda Los Molinos

See what’s at the end of the rainbow

Dear International Living reader, Every day or so I receive an EMail along these lines: “Panama’s great…except for the weather”. Well I’m here to tell you that in Boquete, it’s just plain great. That’s why I’m creating a premier community here, and why it’s been so successful.  My name is Jorge Conte, and together with the Troetsch family, we are the developer of Hacienda Los Molinos, one of the leading projects in this booming part of the country.

Scenic beauty in one of the world’s top retirement locations
To fully imagine the beauty of Los Molinos, you first need to understand the beauty of Boquete, a small town of 20,000 people surrounded by a region which is widely thought to be Panama’s most beautiful. Boquete serves as a centerpiece for an area in the Chiriquí province known for its dramatic mountain scenery, lush, green rainforests, pure rushing rivers, and above all, year-round pleasant weather. It’s no wonder that AARP has chosen Boquete as the world’s 4th best place to retire.

People are moving to Los Molinos to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this semi-rural setting, and the pleasures of village life in Boquete—just 10 minutes away—which has just about everything you’d want in a small town, including restaurants, shops, bars, hotels, and other diversions.

Los Molinos is also about 20 minutes from the city of David, which is situated on the Pan American Highway just south of Costa Rica.  It’s the site of the regional airport, and has most everything you’ll need, including nice restaurants, movie theaters, car dealers, and shopping of every variety.

Songbirds, ponds, and piano bar

At Los Molinos, we’ve gone all out to bring you a first-class community to go with the unsurpassed natural surroundings. On the grounds we have underground utilities so you’ll see the mountains and valleys instead of wires. Our residents will enjoy on-site health care assistance, a club house and a swimming pool, and their own private natural mountain water system, as well as catering and gardening services, and 24-hour security.

Our piano bar overlooks a rainforest gorge which drops a dramatic 300 feet on the edge of the property, where you can watch the narrow waterfall tumbling down from high on the opposite side.

You’ll enjoy listening to the songbirds singing as you stroll the rolling green hills, ponds, flower-lined paths.

A lot and a home for every taste and budget

Here at Los Molinos, I’m offering large, prime lots set in a beautifully-landscaped property of green rolling hills, lakes, and well-manicured pathways. With distant views to the Pacific Ocean on one side and to Barú volcano on the other, our properties vary in size from 1/3 to 2/3 acre, with prices starting at $49,000.

But the homes here are what attracted most of our current residents. We offer contemporary open concept designs, with high ceilings, and open kitchens, as well as architectural touches that set the homes apart, like field-stone fireplaces skylighted stairways, stone showers, and fine imported fixtures. We have six models to choose from, and prices start at $123,000 for the Rioja, which has a contemporary design with two spacious bedrooms, two-car garage, balcony, large terrace, and over 1,950 square feet of living space.

If you’d prefer the carefree lifestyle of a condominium, we have apartments of either two or three bedrooms (1300 to over 1600 square feet) that start at $132,000. Each apartment has a terrace and fireplace, and the price includes all appliances and light fixtures as well as air conditioning.

With any of our properties, we’ll take advantage of our special relationships with local banks to help you arrange financing. If you choose to rent your home, we’ll offer property management services, as well as maintenance services while you’re away.

You’ll be in the world’s premier retirement location

Here in Boquete you may not have the heat and humidity, but you’ll still have a home in a country that’s widely known to be the best retirement haven in the world, with tax incentives and an unsurpassed financial infrastructure.

From a project to a community

We’ve now reached the most exciting phase of the project here at Los Molinos; the phase that turns the project into a community. Several houses have now been completed, and the first residents are moving in. I’d like it if you could be among them.

Sincerely,

Jorge Conte
